Illustration on ‘Dragon’ #InktoberPromptDay12

Today’s Inktober post is a tribute to Imagine Dragonsone of my all time favourite bands. Life surprises you in odd ways. As I sit to draw illustrations every day from this year’s Inktober prompt list, with each prompt a new story unfolds that is linked to me in one or the other way. Even I am surprised to see that I have so many things to talk about and draw. Remembering some of these things feels overwhelming, while some makes me nostalgic. Just like today’s prompt ‘Dragon’ drifted me 2 years back, when on a silent night, in my hostel room, I used to play Imagine Dragon’s Album‘Night Visions’ on repeat. That blissful feeling, that peaceful moment, I miss it so much. But, I am glad it happened.

Imagine Dragons is one of the most creative and versatile bands, that never fails to surprise me each and every time. With its metaphorical lyrics, it taught me so much about life, mental health, believing in myself and keeping myself together in all the hard times. Even words are not enough to thank them.

I hope they keep on producing amazing music and be the beacon of light for millions of lost souls.

Thank you so much for coming in my life! 😊

Just a young gun with the quick fuse
I was uptight, wanna let loose
I was dreaming of bigger things
And wanna leave my own life behind
Not a yes sir, not a follower
Fit the box, fit the mold
Have a seat in the foyer, take a number
I was lightning before the thunder.”

– Imagine Dragons, ‘Thunder‘ song from the album- ‘Evolve
